I started off using Pentax 35mm equipment; a P30 followed by an LX & an MX all used with prime lenses.

This was later supplemented by a medium format kit comprising a Mamiya 645 Pro & 35mm, 50mm PC, 80mm, 120mm macro, 150mm & 300mm lenses.

Film stock was always Fujichrome; Velvia 120 roll film or Sensia 100 for the 35mm cameras. This was & still is scanned using a Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro.

I used transparency film because when I was learning I pretty quickly realised that you needed to see your mistakes; print film was always being adjusted by the processors. Chromes are much less forgiving. Then there's also the thrill of seeing a perfectly exposed transparency on a light box.

I was happy with my kit but when I switched to digital & all the film equipment was sold.

Now I use Canon 1Ds MkII, 5D & 400D bodies.

Lenses are 17-40mm L, 24mm TS-E, 24-70mm L, 24-105mm IS L, 45mm TS-E, 50mm, 70-200mm IS L, 70-300mm DO IS, 90mm TS-E, 100mm macro, a 1.4 & 2x tele-converters.

The three TS-E (tilt/shift) lenses have very quickly become my firm favourites because of their creative versatility. I also use Lensbaby Original, 2.0 & 3G lenses.
Recently I've added a Zero 2000 pinhole camera & an old Minolta Autocord.

My tripod is a Gitzo 1348 carbon fibre model (which is the best I've ever used). The head is a Manfrotto 410 geared model.

Filters are by Lee, I use their ND's, ND graduates & a polariser.

Software is Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop CS3 & printing is done on a Canon iPF 5000.

I built this website using microsoft frontpage, slideshow pro for lightroom & some adapted javascript off the web for the drop down index menu.
